Why, here we are again, nearing the end of another year.

So the end-September examinations are here again. Before we know it, we're going to be Secondary Fours, then going through O-levels, and before we know it, we're out of the school.

I don't know, but to me, time seemed to have passed exceedingly fast this year. You know, if I were to put it in terms, Sec1 was a bus, Sec 2 was a bullet train, Sec3 is a space shutter. Really fast. I actually still feel like it's only been a few months into the year.

Haha, how horrid.

Well anyways, good luck for the examinations :D

well anyways, it's almost a fortnight into 2007.
things have been quite.. uh, okay for me. i started th new year with a horrible stomach upset & relentless throwing up. lol. & just today, i got a well-deserved beesting for getting rid of a bee that landed in my hair whilst visiting willa in 3GY.

well anyways, i hope secthree has been alright for everyone. i'm starting to get accustomed to 3GR. & needless to say, i still miss 1SY more than ever. i don't even remember myself being from 2PE, really.

well well well, if you havent heard, Mrs Fernandez's form teacher of 2PR. i don't know what views you have of Mrs Low, our new principal but i'm trying my best to get used to her.

It's awfully fast.

We're back to the end of the year again. Didn't it just seem like yesterday that we were crowding around at gallery one & making a huge fuss out of English Talentime?

Apparently, this year has gone past in a breeze. Unbelievably, we're getting much older. No longer fresh out of primary school, but ascending towards our new positions in school as Upper Secondary. We're getting older.

Whatever we're going to get out of Talentime'06, good luck, everyone. I, though, have half a mind of skipping school for it seems that there's nothing to be done. Anyways, for those of you who hadn't heard about it - a secondary one basketballer said that she had seen something similar to our class banner being abandoned at the recycling bin.

For some of you who didn't know who it was left with, it was Mrs Fernandez. Well, truthfully, even though Vanessa & I said that we were going to check if it really was our banner, we haven't.

More heartbreaking matters. Another year of fission-fusion. Whatever classes or streams we enter. Another leaving moment with our secondary two classes. Maybe it isn't so with you all, but I felt that this year was less impactful than the one before.

Actually, this is pretty much a meaningless post in hopes of reviving this hopelessly hanging-off-the-cliff-to-suicide class blog.

hahahaha. i'm here to update th blog again! anyways, i cant believe this: EOYs are coming, AGAIN. hahahaha. we shall be uber-duber-guai & start revising. i dont know if this is gonna help, but i suggest you start learning th 2nd half of th syllabus first because you know it better for now. and you can do th 1st half nearer th exam dates so that it's kept fresh in your minds. well that's study tips! oh yes, if you think you absorb information better in this certain time of th day, try to keep it free for revision! {i think i do th best at evenings. hehs.} oh YES, all you music-lovers out there, do NOT blast your music in th background when you're revising. i tell you, it NEVER works. even for me, i love blasting metal, emo-core or screamo music in th background, it just gets me distracted. i have just realised i can absorb faster without music when revising. well yeahh, you MIGHT feel kinda odd being so silent in your room. but if you play those calming music, i'm pretty sure it will lull you to sleep {especially for night-revisers}. and when you take breaks, DONT WATCH TELEVISION. you'll most probably get carried away and your procrastinating-devil will argue with your conscience-angel. and even if you finally pull yourself back {especially for those who lack resistance } you'll get all distracted thinking about what you just watched. so i suggest, dont study on th days which SI2 is aired, well if you follow it that is. and don't study on bed, half th time you would wanna sleep. whereas i stretch & revise {ultra-weirdness, i know}. well so here goes! a whole post of study tips. and yes, BE COLOURFUL.

oh yes one more thing, mrsfernandez's birthday's coming, wanna chip in to get smthn for her? i've got this suggestion in which we get this ty soft toy with her birthday and name it DORA{!} hahahaha. well, that's a solution. i think it's time we whipped our treasurers back into shape!

as we all knw(hehe,i sound lyk an OLD LECTURER), chiying's gonna leave us n study overseas so we are going to hold a farewell party for her in june!! puh-lease puh-lease,kip the first week of june free!! um.. 1sy'05 will be combining 2sy'06 for the party. (hehe,say i rawk man! i will be sacrificing alot of my brain cells to think! lolx!) cos i think that it would be much convinient for everyone. if we hv 2 individual parties(1sy n 2sy) for chi ying,den those frm 1sy05 would have to go for 2 parties n their rents may not allow cos they will be coming home late for 2days(hurhur).yeah...n then it means they will eat alot of BBQ stuff and there's a possibility of uh gaining weight(?!)hehe..now for the details (~~confirmed~~)

HELLO PEEPS!
this is my first time posting on the 1SY class blog. ulala.
we all just got back from adventure camp! its was SO fun! other than the shower time. hahas. to all sick people: GET WELL SOON!

just a year ago we werent having adventure camp. we were at malacca having a great wonderful time together! i really missed those days! where we sang on top of out voices on the way to malacca, where we went to each other rooms and jump on the beds, where we got locked out of our rooms, where stood at the corridor having the water parade! we were all bright yellow lemons wearing our lovely class-tee! hahas. the food in malacca was way better than what we had at adventure camp. most of all, we were still together as a class! how i miss 1SY. when i saw the sec ones boarding their coaches to malacca, i was so envious! sniffles. too bad its over. but it will definately be our wonderful memories, wont it?

adventure was awesome too! i loved kayaking especially! that charles guy was SO sissy! gu-niang claps! but its was hilarious! archery was fun too! but really hard. hahas. oh! karina and dawn are really good at rock climbing! 3 cheers for them! the past 3 days were fun! hoped all of us enjoyed it too!

i missed you guys so so so much!! but we have to move on.. we will remain bonded as a class forever, right??

HELLO. it's been long since someone blogged here. and also a long time since I blogged here. haha. time passes really quickly. the secones are preparing for their malacca trip next week already. i rmb last yr's trip was real fun. and it was the truck cap season. everyone had been so into truck caps. i still rmb chiying and i freezing on the bus tt morning on the way to malacca. hahahaha. and all of us were like overheating when we went to the bee farm. hahaha. i still rmb tt my fav was ginseng honey cos it was like bittersweet. HAHA. do you all still rmb urs? and that was our first time wearing our class tees out right? haha. we went for lunch at it was so gross rmb? we heard someone complaining about maggots and cockroaches and strands of hair. LOL. we were so grossed out that a lot of us lost our appetites. oh goodness. that was hilarious. then we went to tt place i-forgot-wat-it's-called. hehs. most of us fell asleep during the talk. it was so dead BORING!! and wat KIND of notes did they want us to copy down?!! ahh moving on to the hotel. some of us kinda freaked when we found out tt the hotel kinda faced the chinese hill which was like a cemetery!! on one of the days everyone contributed RM2 for a gift for mrs fern as she cldnt come cos the staff learnt of her pregnancy. LOL! we got her a bear when we went shopping. let's skip to the last day. we were driven to the market before we took the bus back to sch. and they were like selling truck caps and stuff. it WAS the IN thing. haha. everyone was like crowding around thr. and on the way back to sch, we were like singing on the bus right?! lols. and miss tan thought that we were a weird bunch of kids. HAHAHAHA. oh and of course not forgetting uncle francis who gave us like hints to ans our booklets and stuff. i rmb he loved to say aight. like the really dragged and exaggerated way. hahahahha. and we reached sch like abt 1800? we say mrs fern and we sang this really touching song for her which went to the tune of we wish you a merry christmas. lols. mrs fern had tears in her eyes. it was SO SO SO fun!!
ahh. enough abt the malacca's trip last year. how are you're looking forward to the adventure learning camp? truthfully, i'm not exactly looking forward to it. hehs. ahh but heck. and besides, we're all seperated. but that means tt we get a chance to bond with our new classes isnt it? haha. so there then ((:

Dear 1sy,

This year has been full of toil and trouble, tears and cheers and jeers from everyone else. Nevertheless, we pulled through as the year aged. We overcame these obstacles. And you know what? It's not the success really, it's more of the process. This journey through 2005, fraught with pits was not conquered as 1sy the Divided; it was more like 1sy the Bonded. Yes, and for that I think we all deserve a pat on the back. *patpat*

Recalling all of the past, our past once more, like Yiting did in a (more meticulous manner) previous post, proves as painful and heartwrenching as it is joyful and heartwarming. Don't we all agree that this year of twenty-oh-five has been testing in a unique way for each and every one of us sy-ians?
On the not-so-nice side, let's quiet and remember those tears shed when you got a Fail for some summative test. Or, the disappointment when a competition ended with this class going back empty-handed. (we have never ever and will never ever lose, spiritually/mentally/figuratively)
Now, think of the happier/ humorous moments this class has had. When cheers exploded around the room with good news from the teachers. When we won that shiny trophy for being champs on Sports Day, which, er, got kinda dented by Natalie The un-Careful. heh.

As for me, I think it's real hard to let go. Especially difficult. 1sy means so much, holds so many memories for me. The laughs and screams. They are so treasured. I'm gonna seriously miss sitting in the back seat in the corner, screaming my head off when Esther walks past in the corridor upstairs. Then everyone starts to look at me in the class, shakes hopelessly or nods in an understanding way and goes," Oh, Esther..."
Not only that, even you guys have started to look out and even recognise the 4sy-ians and shout alert to Jun Yan on the way back from classes. wow. For this I love you guys even more. But it's not only esthecy. theres much comfort and this silent agreement kind of thing we share. This bond of chemistry. So we know what's and when not to say. This mention is vague so you readers-no proding.

1sy, we really must have a class gathering next year. With this I officialy end this year together though, of course, not truly, for we'll always be in my heart. With this, I say good-bye to everyone and most importantly, Year 2005. (oh maybe i should say bye to esther too x)

i'm so sorry i left the classroom without saying goodbye to many of you today. i don't want to make things even more saddening now, but i am compelled to recollect our memories together as oneSY and hopefully keep our class spirit burning in our soul.
so it was right at the beginning of this year, all of us stepped into the oneSY classroom feeling strange and perhaps confused. for me, recess had been a total chaos because i wasnt very used to seeing a whole sea of blue uniforms filling the canteen.. we were at first almost unknown, other then the SCGSP girls, to each other. guess what. i cant really remember much about what happened in term one.
so let's fast forward.
then came term two. remember the day mrs fern told us that she couldnt go on the malacca trip with us? we all felt sad and wondered why.. then she told us that she was pregnant.. the whole class got excited and everything!! and remember the first meal we had when we had gotten down the coach bus? it was DISGUSTING!! hahas. the insects and.. eurghs.. hahas. vanessa and leonora made us donate RM2 to the class fund cos we all decided on getting something for mrs fern!! hahas. in the end we got her this soft toy bear!! the three days in malacca was quite enjoyable and we DID bond then. it did pass us by very quickly.. on the way back to singapore and then back to school, we irritated miss tan with our songs and our cheers.. hahas. it was so funny!! and we even came up with a song for mrs fern while we presented the bear we got from malacca to her. she was so touched.. and miss heng actually saw us doing that!! hahas..
not long after that, we had our class cheer and class spirit competition. we practised till our throats went sore. we made sure we perfected every line. we did up our class banner.. the paint, the sequins, the newspapers, the paintbrushes. every stroke, every piece of thread, it was all for the love of our class. come to think of it, we havent seen much of that kind of class spirit anymore. In the heart where friendship lies, the spirit of Sincerity never dies. i will never forget that. although our routine wasnt really much of a WOW but we know we worked hard for it and we all had fun doing that. then soon after that was the inter-class sports competition.. we had everyone screaming our lungs out for the competitors. and we had the best of it, bcos we won the competition. and that trophy, has natalie all over it cos she dropped it on the floor. now that dent in that trophy will have oneSY's name written all over it. hehs. the winning of that competition didnt just earn us a trophy, then came our PIZZA PARTY!! i'm still waiting for that photo that we took outside the home economics room from anyone who is able to scan it. hehs.
let's continue to fast forward. then came chinese talentime. the one that the class took less than two weeks to prepare, and surprisingly, we triumphed the other sec one classes. though we may have lost to twoCO but we were already very proud of ourselves to win something that was made up in a fluster. we'll have to thank the choreographer and the singers and all.. and best of all, the rest of the class for their support!! then soon came the debate which we became champions once again. this was quite unexpected because when it came down to oneSY against SE, none of us were from the debate CCA whilst the three candidates in SE were ALL debators. that was very UNBELIEVABLE. the more we should credit those debators who fought for our class!!
many things went on after the CA2. it was like a really LONG break for us wasnt it? that was the time when Uno cards regained its fame in schools again. after being away from oneSY for a whole month, we soon came back for term three. the term for revision. sigh. and then, we had changed our geography teacher from mrs mao to mr teo bcos she retired and miss jaime koh wasnt teaching anymore.. we had changed quite a few teachers then.. the piles of homework.. maths worksheets.. more theory lessons for science instead of practicals.. and we started our first term in art. term three seemed really short to me..
before we knew it, we entered term four. all of us were unaware of the last day of sch.. we only had a few weeks left. we studied and really mugged for our subjects. the pressure was intense. but it all paid off didn't it? the moment we finished our last paper, which was the HCL paper or english for mitali and davinia, we all felt like burning our textbooks.. going out and totally melt. but who knew.. we had this english talentime to worry about. we practised for only one week and performed today. it doesnt matter even if we didnt win. because, we all know we had enjoyed ourselves. especially the disney category. the ending was ABSOLUTELY fantastic. hahas. i dont know anything more to say.. these are vague memories of what oneSY went through this year.. i'll never forget the laughter, the songs, the cheers, the cries, the screams, our yellow class tee, the joy, EVERYTHING we had together in 2005. i won't forget you, ever.

Whoever wrote the last post, I'd like you to know that it made me cry; and I'm sure it affected a lot of other people as well, because it's the sudden realization that, well, we're never going to be all together again as a class, although it just hasn't, not really, sunk in yet. But I really want all of you to know, just in case I never am able to make it to school again (if I die or something, touch wood, but you never know) and because it's easier to say things this way, that all of you have made a tremendous, colossal, untouchable and meaningful difference in my life, and although sometimes I might act like a totally horrible person towards you (maybe), I'm sorry. & I don't think we should bother so much about those anonymous taggers, because every is entitled to their own opinion and we can't control that. Also, if we really believe that we are what we say or what they do not say, then we don't need to say anything to contradict what they say. Okay. I'm a little bit confused but isn't it right? (: And we shouldn't act/sound/be so terribly egoistic, also. Class spirit is fine but too much of it is just plain narcissism. Don't we all bitch/gossip about others too? But then, nobody's perfect, ain't that true. Not me, not you. (No intention to rhyme, thankyouverymuch!)

Oh, and on a lighter (well, not really) note, freeloaders are absolutely despicable. Sorry but I really hate you for doing this and then accusing others of also being guilty of it. And your blunt insensitivity, sometimes it's just too much, you know. Hell, you're everything you accuse others of being. Isn't high time you open your eyes a little, honey? Accept the fact that there is no way (never ever) that you're always, 100-percent, completely right and that not admitting it isn't the best way to appear smart. Excuses, excuses. Come up with better ones, at least. Oh, and you. You are just as bad, if you didn't already know. Gosh, you're equally insensitive and I have no idea why you treat people so horribly. I mean like, okay- she is your darling best friend in the whole wide world and you two do every single itty bitty thing together and you love each other but why, when she isn't there for you, you just stick with the others? And I'm really sorry, but the both of you don't know how to be tactful (not even a little bit) at all. On the other hand, true friends are the best people in the world. And true friends are the type who (really, might I add, not from a distance or only superficially) comfort you when you cry or ask you what's wrong when other people can't even tell or plan to grab you if and when they are walking on the grey part of the corridor and fall down so you will fall down too (lameness, please). Not those who hurt people without even knowing it, tease you thinking they aren't hurting your feelings when they most ceratinly are, etcetera etcetera.

Oh, yes. STOP teasing/making fun of people who study. Studying is what students do, quite obviously. And I admire people who study over those who do not and keep teasing people who do, perhaps because they just want to convince themselves that studying is retarded, it's so loser-ish and nerd-ish, and I'm not studying so I'm like cool. Ugh. Whatever, please. It's just really, really irritating. Besides, it's high time we do because the exams are coming soon!
